If you’re having trouble with a purchased product, and don’t see the solution here, please email us. Be sure to include the following information:

  • Your order #
  • Which product are you trying to open?
  • Did you unzip (extract) the zip download folder before trying to open the files within?
  • Which files within that product (if not all) are you having this problem with?
  • What program are you using to open the files?
  • Are there any error messages that appear when you try to open the files?
  • What operating system are you using? (Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS)

Please provide any other additional information that you think might help us troubleshoot the issue. In addition if you could send us a screen shot of the problem you are having that may be helpful.

Fashion eBooks

Are your Illustrator/Photoshop ebooks written for CS4/CS5/CS6?

Even though our ebooks were written using CS3, the main change to CS4 was the way the panels look. The important tools and features used to complete fashion projects have not changed and our ebooks will teach you the how to use them specifically for the fashion industry. You’ll have no problem following along using CS4, CS5, or CS6. If you prefer, you could even find a free generic video online, which shows you around workspace of newer versions, and then dive into our ebooks to learn about how to use the tools and apply them for fashion. Part 1 of our free Photoshop videos includes a quick overview of the difference between CS4/CS5 and CS3.

Do I need special software or an e-reader to read your ebooks?

All of our ebooks are in PDF format (except for Adobe Illustrator Advanced Techniques which is in Adobe Illustrator (.ai) format), so the only software you need to actually read the books is Adobe Reader (a free download from However, each ebook also comes with exercise files, which are in the format of the corresponding program. You can download a Free 30 Day Trial of Illustrator and Photoshop from, and a free trial of MS Office from

I can’t see the images in the eBook, I only see text!

It sounds like you are using Mac’s “Preview” program to view the ebook. Make sure you use Adobe Reader (a free download from to view our ebooks.

Are your Fashion Sketch Templates a software program or plug-in?

No. Our Fashion Sketch Templates are a collection of Adobe Illustrator files (.ai). See product sales page for more details.

Are your Fashion Sketch Templates compatible with CorelDRAW?

Our Fashion Sketch Templates (and other vector products) are saved in Adobe Illustrator (.ai) format. As far as we know, CorelDRAW X5 Suite fully supports this format. To test compatibility with your version of CorelDRAW, download one of our Free Flat Sketches.

Note, if you do decide to purchase our Fashion Sketch Templates for use with CorelDRAW, we cannot offer full technical support for the product, since it is only made to be compatible with Adobe Illustrator.

Are your Fashion Sketch Templates compatible with Paint Shop?

While our products are currently only made to be compatible with Adobe Illustrator, we have had customers who are able to use our Fashion Sketch Templates successfully with Paint Shop Pro X3. To test compatibility with your version of Paint Shop, download one of our Free Flat Sketches.

Note, if you do decide to purchase our Fashion Sketch Templates for use with Paint Shop, we cannot offer full technical support for the product, since it is only made to be compatible with Adobe Illustrator.

Are your Fashion Sketch Templates the same as your Free Flat Sketches?

Our Fashion Sketch Templates product is completely separate from the Free Flat Sketches on our site. Our Fashion Sketch Templates are sketched to mix and match with each other, and are drawn at a consistent 1/8th scale. Whereas the free sketch downloads are not sketched to mix and match and are not drawn with any consistent scale whatsoever. The product from our store has nothing to do with the free download sketches.

You’ll find that you can create a larger variety of styles by mixing and matching the elements in our Fashion Sketch Templates. With some creativity and a few modifications you can even create some more unique designs!

I’m having trouble changing brush stroke color, it takes on a different color than I’m selecting (Adobe Illustrator Brushes, Sweater Brushes)

It sounds like the document you are using the brush in is in CMYK mode. As noted in the instructions at the top of each brush file: We recommend working in RGB mode. However if you require a finished document in CMYK colors, start out with the document in RGB mode. Change the brush stroke colors as desired using CMYK swatches or by entering your own specific CMYK values (choose CMYK from the Color Panel menu options). Once you have the desired colors, change the document color mode to CMYK and the colors will retain their correct CMYK values.

Where can I purchase Illustrator/Photoshop software?

Purchase Questions

I just made a purchase but haven’t received my download link yet.

First check your Junk/Spam folder to see if our emails are landing there. If you still don’t see anything, please contact us.

Also check your receipt and make sure you entered the correct email address (typos are common and will prevent you from receiving your download link). If you find that you entered the wrong address, please contact us with the correct one so we can fix it in our system and resend your link to the right place!

How long will it take for my product to be shipped?

As stated on each product sales page, all of our products are digital files, which can be downloaded to your computer immediately after purchase. After your purchase is complete, you will receive an email with your download link. We do not sell hardcopy books, CDs, DVDs, etc. If you wish to have a printed copy of our ebooks or design tools, they can easily be printed from any home printer, or copy shop.

Can I save a copy of my purchase on my laptop/tablet/smartphone?

The prices listed for each product are “per user” so you can save a copy of your purchased item(s) to your laptop, tablet, smartphone, flash drive, etc. However, we ask that you don’t copy and share our products with other users- this helps us keep product prices low.

My download link says ‘Expired’!

To prevent piracy, all download links have a “5 download, 14 day” limit. This means that after 5 downloads, or 14 days (whichever comes first) your download link will automatically expire. If for some reason, you need to re-download your item, just send us an email and we’ll be happy to reset your link (See our Product Guarantees).

My computer crashed / I lost my files, can I re-download them without having to repurchase?

I downloaded my product, but now I can’t find it!

Most computers have a default “Downloads” folder where downloaded items are saved by default. Depending on your operating system and computer settings, your downloaded files might be saving to a different location (sometimes the desktop). The best way to control where your downloads go is to right-click on the download link and choose “Save Target As” or “Save File As”, which will allow you to choose exactly where the file will be saved on your computer.

I paid with eCheck, when will I receive my download link?

The form of payment you used with PayPal is called eCheck. It is not an instant payment like when you use a credit card to fund the transaction. It’s a lot like sending a personal check, just without the hassle of writing one and mailing it out. Either way, we both have to wait for it to clear. As soon as the payment clears, we will both automatically be notified and you will receive the email with the download link for the product you purchased.

In the future, if you’d like to receive your download link right away, be sure to check out using a credit card.

During checkout, I received an ‘FMF’ error message, what gives?

We apologize for the trouble you are having. To prevent fraud, our payment system requires that your billing information matches the one on file with your credit card company. During checkout, please verify that the billing name/address information you enter exactly matches the information on your credit card statements.

Please try your purchase again and let us know if you have any trouble.

During checkout, I received an error message, but now my bank account shows payment was made.

Due to the stringent credit card filters of our payment processor, your card may be rejected even though it is a valid purchase- this can often happen when your billing address is entered incorrectly (see previous question).

Regarding the funds in your bank account, they were most likely released for payment by your bank, and then when the payment was rejected on our end, the funds were reversed back to your account. You should see your purchase attempts returned to your account soon. If your funds aren’t returned within 24 hours, please contact us.

Please wait a day or two and try your purchase again (make sure your billing address is correct), or try purchasing with a different card.

Are there any restrictions on where I can purchase from?

We are sorry you’re having trouble making your purchase. We use PayPal to process all payment transactions (even regular credit card purchases) and due to growing fraud, there are some countries that PayPal does not accept payment from. Unfortunately, we have no control over this.

If you have a friend in another country that could make the purchase for you, that might be a way to get the products you are interested in. (Click here to view a list of accepted countries.)
